The Producer
It’s only fitting that the name Constant Spring be part of a business that’s about telling family stories. I grew up in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley where my grandparents ran the Constant Spring Inn, an homage to their time living in Jamaica and the Kingston neighborhood where the name originated.
I’ve been a journalist, producer, and writer with more than two decades of experience telling human-centered stories. From my first newspaper job at 17 to my years as a producer at CNN and HLN, I’ve always made a point to do work that’s driven by empathetic interviews, compassionate conversations, and strong narrative storytelling.
I’ve written for print and digital. I’ve produced breaking news, television newsmagazines, and created content for agencies and brands. In 2017, I jumped into audio with The 2180, a first-person narrative series about hikers on the Appalachian Trail. It’s probably the smallest audience of anything I’ve done, but it remains my favorite work. It’s also where I really leaned into what audio is capable of. The light bulb turned on, and I realized that audio does what none of the other methods do: it gets to the root of everything quicker and easier. It’s the HOV lane to meaningful and candid conversation.
In 2020, I wrote, produced and hosted Down The Hill, one of the most successful shows in the CNN Audio portfolio, a 2020 Apple Podcasts “best new show” selection and a Webby Honoree. In 2024 I created and co-hosted and wrote Deviant, an anthology podcast from Cold Open Media. I’ve also produced and hosted podcasts for PodcastOne and Kast Media.
