The Producer
Andrew Iden is a journalist, producer, and writer with more than two decades of experience telling human-centered stories. From his first newspaper job at 17 to his years as a producer at CNN and HLN, his work has always been defined by empathetic interviews, compassionate conversations, and strong narrative storytelling.
Throughout his career, Andrew has insisted on one constant - the craft comes first. Whether writing, producing, or interviewing, he believes that clear, well-chosen words, strong interviews and conversation, and careful attention to detail are what give stories their lasting impact.
He has written for print and digital, produced television newsmagazines, and created content for agencies and brands. In 2017, he shifted into audio with The 2180, a first-person narrative series about hikers on the Appalachian Trail.
In 2020, Andrew produced and hosted Down The Hill, one of CNN Audio’s most successful true-crime podcasts. Most recently, he launched Deviant (2024), a documentary-style anthology series, and has also produced and hosted podcasts for PodcastOne and Kast Media.
